What is Amoxil? It is an antibiotic in the specific class of drugs called penicillin. In general, it is used in the treatment of different types of infections, for instance, tonsillitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, and infections of the skin. Found in both forms of amoxil pills and amoxil tablets are usually taken at every 8 hours a day. Never take more than the prescription of your doctor. But if you ever miss any dose take it as soon as you remember and continue with the day's doses at evenly spaced intervals.

However, if the time of the next dose appears by that time skip the dose you missed but must continue with the discipline. Do not indulge in taking a double dose of this medication without the advice of the doctor. Remember while you insist in taking the pediatric drops and liquid of the same medicine it may be placed on a child's tongue or added to formula, milk, fruit juice, water, ginger ale, or other cold liquid and taken immediately. Conversely, the tablets should be crushed or chewed before swallowing, while capsules should be swallowed completely and with a full glass of water. But even if you feel well continue to take Amoxil and don't stop without talking to the doctor.

There are several chances when amoxil side effects can create huge problems and if you have kidney disease, or stomach or intestinal disease notify the doctor at once. Again, if you have any allergic reaction (shortness of breath; closing of the throat; hives; swelling of the lips, face, or tongue; rash; or fainting); seizures; or unusual bleeding or bruising contact the doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention. Again, if you are pregnant or happen to be pregnant, have a talk with the doctor. Even while breast feeding a baby, one should not take this medicine without the doctor's advice.
