In general the dovonex cream is used for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. Available in the form of dovonex cream pills and dovonex cream tablets it is applied by means of a thin layer of dovonex cream to the affected skin twice daily and have to be rubbed in gently and completely. Now, if you ever forget to apply a dose, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and go on with your usual dosing schedule. But never double the dose to catch up. In addition to this, the use of dovonex cream may result into the emergence of transient irritation of both lesions and surrounding uninvolved skin. Now if there is the development of irritation, on your part there should be the discontinuation of the use of the dovonex cream. Moreover, never use this medication for any medication other than that for which it was prescribed.  

Dovonex cream side effects are also quite common. Some of the most frequent side effects that may occur while using Dovonex Cream include: skin irritation, rash, pruritus, dermatitis and worsening of psoriasis. You should also remember that the topically applied dovonex cream can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to produce systemic effects. In this respect, if there is any anticipation of an overdose, sop the use of dovonex cream at once and seek medical attention at the earliest. This medication is to be used only according to the direction of your physician and is meant for external use only. Also avoid contact with the face or eyes and always wash your hands after application.
