Yasmin is a birth control pill that is used amply to prevent pregnancy. If you ever have had a stroke, heart attack, or blood clot; high blood pressure, angina, or heart disease; a bleeding or blood-clotting disorder; breast, uterine, or another hormone-related cancer; or undiagnosed, abnormal vaginal bleeding or even diabetes; high cholesterol; gallbladder disease; migraines or other headaches; epilepsy; a history of depression, consult the doctor before taking this.

  Again, Yasmin is in the FDA pregnancy category X that can cause birth defects in an unborn baby. Again, since yasmin passes into breast milk it can decrease milk production. So if you are breast feeding a baby do not use yasmin without first talking to your doctor. Also never smoke since it increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, or blood clot formation. Always maintain the doses in the strictest sense, and if you ever skip it go according to the direction. Never try to hamper the dosing schedule. There are also yasmin side effects that include vaginal bleeding, blurred vision, fluid retention, melasma, dizziness, loss of scalp hair, rash.
